Description
This tee is one of my new favorites. Ultra soft, thick cotton, with lots of room to move and a semi-crop that shows no skin but also doesn’t add extra fabric below the waist.
I wore this one on a school outing with my daughter’s grade 5 class, and I loved the way the kids were studying the image. “Is this about climate change?” one girl asked. I said yes. She said, “I saw the temperature at the top and thought so.”
It took me a while to design, because the initial inspiration was kind of dark. (The writing is on the wall, my friend and I were texting, and everyone’s just taking selfies and staring into their screens, not taking any notice.) But when I figured out how to add a ray of hope (the little girl who sees the flower growing out of the cracked earth), it came together in a way that gave me hope, which is what I’m doing this for in the first place.
The garment-dyed finish gives it a unique, vintage look that gets even better with time, while the modern, boxy cropped silhouette is designed to flatter.
