On one hand, this t-shirt is a celebration of summer. It is everything I love to do on a lazy summer’s day. But each year, as the forest fires rage, my climate anxiety rages along with it.
Unlike most other sustainable steps designs, this doesn’t have a specific call to action. More a reflection (Banksy-style, like my mom said) about what’s wrong with our current (oblivious) mindset, and an unspoken challenge to change it.
If there was a call to action — a tagline with a specific sustainable step — it would be to make climate change an election issue. One of the smokiest summers in recent history was also an election year — and it was very hard to watch the climate hypocrite win our riding instead of either one of two candidates who embraced very practical solutions out loud in their platforms.
Made with soft, breathable fabric (100% airlume combed and ringspun cotton), this is a super comfy t-shirt to throw on and feel great in all day. It’s a relaxed fit — fits on the larger size of true, which I happen to love. Ethical cotton, printed on demand to reduce waste. Wear it for the chill graphic, the dark social commentary, or both!
