I designed this t-shirt while I was texting with my friend about the state of the world. We were both feeling pretty damn bleak, so I started playing with my software about the writing on the wall, and people passing by obsessed with themselves and their own lives — too obsessed to ask what they can do to be part of the solution. At first I thought the image was going to be too depressing for a t-shirt. Sustainable Steps is meant to be about hope, after all.
And then the next morning, I was in a much less dark place, and I added the little girl who sees the flower growing out of the cracked earth. Which is how I feel most of the time. There is that hope — accessible to those of us who look for it and care.
Crafted for comfort and durability, this t-shirt is made from 100% US-grown ring-spun cotton. The fabric is pre-shrunk and soft-washed with garment dyeing, ensuring minimal shrinkage and a premium, vintage feel from the first wear. Designed with a twill-taped neck and shoulders for superior structure and longevity. It features double-needle stitched sleeves and bottom hem, plus a comfortable 1″ ribbed collar with a durable double-needle topstitched neckline.
