About me

I’m a writer and mom. I’m concerned about the challenges we’re facing with our climate, and how long our planet can sustain life if we keep treating it this way. But at the same time, I’m confident that we have the tools to fix it. The earth-friendly movement is growing every day, and that heartens me. People get it; people care. But our system — politicians, lobbyists, corporate greed — hasn’t caught up with the movement. We need to help it get there — the sooner, the better.

Most of my writing to date has been fiction (and some behind-the-scenes political writing on various election campaigns), but lately, I feel compelled to write non-fiction (aka, this blog) to help channel my concerns into a practical, step-by-step approach toward being part of the solution. I’m enjoying all the conversations it’s been sparking with friends and strangers alike. I’m sharing what I’m learning as I go, and learning from readers who are several steps ahead of me already!

I’m working on two novels — both eco-thrillers, one with a partner and one on my own. They also help me channel my climate frustration — but in a fun way with heroes and villains and an ending I get to control. Will update when either or both approaches publication!
